I've always liked Brent, though I remember a Greek show in the 80's when he was tooooo drunk to play much at all.
But hey, we all have bad daze!

Hey, I remember more than one show where Jerry was not exactly fit to play either, just part of the package. Also, fyi, I believe the first Greek shows w/ Brent were in '81.

i can't think of another male singer with such a ballsy falsetto range (now there's a contradiction of terms)

my fav Brent is "Just A Little Light" (good to also hear him in his regular tenor range)

can anyone suggest a good live version? thanks

I concur, that some of the 89 shows are sick. Alpine Valley Down Hill from here is tight.

I think the first show that I listened to where Brent really made is presence is in the fall of 79. I think 10-28-79 (Cape Cod), he's sick. Great show.

I concur.....especially with Brent's additional lyrics in Easy To Love You. Referencing the Stanley show from 79.

Brent was certainly the most consistent keys player the band ever had, I for one also appreciated the earlier than drums bathroom breaks his 'songs' would provide.

I'd still take '71-74 Keith, despite being limited to the piano.(his best licks were in 76-77 JGB)
